Overture

Yes, it has been some two months since the Magpie posted.  But, please, people, give me some space/sympathy.  The Magpie finished raising her last nest of young and has been working her way south for the winter.  And  you know what THAT means.  Fighting off all kinds of vermin from the deep south, all for a chance at some better weather.  Why is it, I ask you, that the best weather/deep south sports the worst politicians?  The Magpie is stopping at the vet on the way to her southern home for some vaccinations.  She’ll be up and running and ready to talk dirt/seed/bugs/vermin real soon.  Y-heah?
